The magic begins with painting. The artist applies multiple, very thin layers of special paint (usually Genesis paint or acrylic paint for Reborns). Each layer is kiln-fired or air-dried, depending on the type of paint used.

The goal is to create:

Birthmarks, redness, small imperfections

This process can take several hours or days, depending on the detail desired.
